The '71 Type 3 ignition starter switch doesn't match any other VW, according to my catalogue. The Aug '71 on is the same as the Type 1 same years, and the '68 to '70 is the same as theType 1 and 2 same years. The '70-on ignition lock cylinder is the same as the Type 1 however!
