Could this be the > problem? It's usually Bad News to touch the manifold pressure sensor. It would be a very rare case indeed where this factory-set piece requires adjustment. Even then it should be done with everything else well-adjusted and with an oxygen sensor in the tail pipe to measure the mixture.
