The sudden power loss, along with the fuses all going, kind of makes me wonder. But just check the ignition stuff systematically for now. Also do like Jim suggested and listen for the main power and fuel pump relays. After you turn the key on, you should hear a click then another click about 2 seconds later. > > >You say you have spark. Is that in > >all 4 plug wires? > > I just checked coming off the coil. Better check each plug wire, too. You could be losing the spark somewhere in the dist. Use the inductive timing light. Find an assistant. > I may just have to take it to someone. Probably a bad and expensive idea unless they know d-jet FI. Try to work it through systematically yourself first. First check that your main power and fuel pump relays are working. Then make sure your pump is working. Measure the fuel pressure. Then make sure all ignition components are working (can a condensor fail instantaneously?..). Then get into FI possibilities. One other thing: Do your idiot lights come on when you turn the key on? -Mark Fuhriman ------------------------------------------------------------------- List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list or mailto:help@vwtype3.org
