[T3] RUST in battery compartment

Hi ..

My 1965 Notch has very minimal rust on the pan ... a couple of sections have
been replaced prior by the previous owner but all in all its good ... EXCEPT
for the battery compartment... Actually the part of the pan
(compartment)close to the side of car (Some has been replaced, but this part
must have gone into the too hard basket previously) ... It's right on top of
the the jack point, and also part of the rear seat sil ... My question to
you all is what with the jack point, the two heating pipes and the sil ...
What is the best way to fix it ....

If I cut it all out how hard and inconvenient is it to weld up in that area
using an oxy .. Any ideas from previous cut n pasters would be appreciated
..
