I worry about particles left in the oil passages in the case and in the cooler. RIMCO can drill and tap all your passages for brass plugs; this will let you clean them all out. I have always managed to get the coolers clean by flushing them for a long time in a good parts washer. You should plan on spending the better part of an an hour at it, flushing in both directions, shaking it up, and holding it in different positions while you flush, etc. Lots of places say just to replace the coolers, but I always found the type 3 coolers to be too expensive for this. - Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ------------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe? mailto:type3-request@vwtype3.org, Subject: unsubscribe
