Neither the 73 parts book or the later microfilm mention day/night. I 
agree that the intrepretation is questionable, but since no one has 
mentioned tinted mirrors (I've never seen such a thing) I think "anti--
dazzle" means day/night.

I think we are pretty much in agreement that there was no OE 
day/night mirror before 69, so that means that even in your 69 parts 
book an attempt has been made to superceed old parts with the 
later style.

In an attempt to settle this, let me ask the list a question: Is there 
ANYONE out there with any type 3 which has an ivory stem mirror 
WITHOUT the extra stub and WITHOUT the day/night feature?

If there really were short (stubless) mirrors used on 66-8 notches 
and fastys, we should get a bunch of positive responses to this 
question.

I've never seen a mirror like this.
