There are significant differences between the 71 and the 73 FI systems. If you want to put the 73 engine in the 71 car, you should swap parts until you get a consistent set. I THINK all you should have to do would be to swap the throttle position switch, but you will have to adjust its position after you install the 4-pin 71 switch into the 73 engine. The best source for this info is the Bentley manual, but this may not be detailed enough if you are not at all familiar with the FI already.
