I'm sure it's an internal problem. The dial light stays steady. The
ground and speaker haven't changed and are still secure. It is intermittent,
every other time I turn it on it is dead. "Dead" being non-staticy up to
max. volume (and barely audible at max.) This suggests the amplifier? How
to test? (no oscilloscope or spider sense available)
I have cleaned up and gone over a Blaupunkt Emden III for replacement.
Unfortunately, it is also dead. If I have to spend money, this is the one to
fix.
