[T3] Any Parts too Look out for?

hey all,
I have an opportunity to buy many new and used parts for type3's and
am wondering what parts people are looking for out there. To give a
little background, i took my squareback to this place called Bug
World to get the car inspected and it was like i went through a time
warp and it was 1968! This shop is in a small rural town call Yoe, in
southern Pennsylvania and has been there since i was a little kid. I
had never gone into the place until a few weeks ago because i always
have driven watercooled cars. So anyway, the guy that owns the place
was very reserved in his demeanor until he saw my squareback. He said
he had not seen one in about 10 years and he was all smiles! So we
talked for quite awhile and he talked to me about drag racing vw's in
the mid 60's and blowing away all the local chevy and ford boys! : ).
I asked him if he had any type3 parts new or used that he would be
willing to sell me and he said that he has all kinds of stuff!!!
Many new and used parts. Too many to list. Here is where my
predicament lies. What should i buy from him? I only have so much
money i can lay out, and i would like to buy stuff the people are
looking for. I would be willing to sell to any type3 list first then
putting what is left on ebay. Any hints on parts to look for? Jim?
Leon? Russ? I don't know what is rare on the older cars. i do know
what to look for about 1970 on. Hints? So with this long story said,
please contact me at jjmojo@blazenet.net or post your request or
comment on the list. Please DO NOT REPLY TO ME ON THIS EMAIL ADDRESS
for my email at home is down and i am emailing from work. i will get
your request if you send them to jjmojo@blazenet.net.
I think that i am going to take some pictures of this shop that i am
talking about and do a little web page on them. There are not many vw
repair places with the old world charm left in the states. I find it
fascinating that in this fast paced world that there are little
places like this that seem to slow time and forget what is going on
in the rest of the world.
peace all,
jesse
