ALSO I found out that it was a 66 not a 68. It was a German import and was registered in the UK in 68 so that would explain the 6volts. So back to my original question. How easy is it to convert from 6v to 12v? I saw the car this weekend and it quite a treasure. Its Untouched one owner from new. It’s got all the factory accessories for a 1600TL except a radio. It really needs a complete dismantle a restoration as its got some bad points but nothing that isn't repairable. Its got rust holes inside the rear wheel arch, both rear panels are dented and probably need replacing. Its also got a bad patch on the seam of the left rear window but other than that is sound. I also (eventually) got the bloke down to £1200 but didn't pay up as I was already on the way home when he called back to say it was a deal! bugger! So now I’m in a panic over paying up and collecting. With the money I saved I should be able to afford the resto (apart from paint) Cheers, Will ______________________________________________________________ For up-to-the-minute music news, reviews and specials visit http://www.nme.com Get free e-mail (anyname@nme.com) now at http://www.nmemail.com The sender of this e-mail is NOT an employee or associate of NME, nme.com or any other IPC magazine. ------------------------------------------------------------------- List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list or mailto:help@vwtype3.org
