[T3] carb spacer

Hello everyone,
    I found there are plastic spacers between my carbs (32pdsit) and the 
manifolds.  The spacers are about 1/4" thick.  Do these come stock? what 
effect would they have on performance?  When i put my carbs onto my new 
longblock, should I keep em, or chuck em?
