Lift the engine onto the jack. Two of you should be able to do it, getting the sump over the center of the jack. If the jack has wheels, you then just roll it, one person making sure its steady, under the car. In fact, all you need to do is get the transmission held up and you could just jack the back of the car enough to roll tthe engine under it, then put the car back down, ebrake and chock it. No need to elevate the car so much, and this way your jacks will reach the right height to meet the transmission. THEN jack the transmission into proper place and raise the engine up. actually I installed mine by myself with about two scissor jacks and the floor jack once my "friend" lost interest in helping me out. All I got from him was help getting the engine on the floor jack. Then its just patience. But read the idiot guide and the Bentley first to make sure everything is copacetic. -- Mike Wodkowski 72 SQBK Brooklyn ------------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe? mailto:type3-request@vwtype3.org, Subject: unsubscribe
