Hello! I'm excited to say my Notchback project is really taking off now. I finally caught up with the paint and body guy for his assessment and estimate. It's looking up - the estimate is less that what I expected and includes materials! So... the four fenders go to the body shop tomorrow! The body shell won't be far behind. When that body shell leaves my garage I'll really feel like I'm accomplishing something! The floorpan is about two-thirds of the way finished. It already looks fantastic! All that's lacking is a little puddy here and there, one more coat of POR on the underside and the topcoat. With the newfound room in my garage, I'll be able to restore and assemble the pan, suspension, and drivetrain while the body gets the treatment across town. The only body panel that requires replacement is the decklid. Anybody got one? The one that came off my car was missing the latchpin, script, and license housing. So I'm looking for a good solid complete decklid, but I could settle for just the panel and worry about the small stuff later. Please email me if you have one to sell! I'm located in North Alabama, but I don't think the thing would be too big to ship. -- Mike T. 1964 1500s Notchback w/ sunroof ------------------------------------------------------------------- List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list or mailto:help@vwtype3.org
