I have a question that I hope someone could answer For years I have been looking at & reading literature about High Performance engines & engine modifying - (My major interests/likes are VW's (Type 3's) & Alfas (105 Series) & small bore motorcycles). I have often come across the description (in American Mags etc.) of 'Genuine VW 041 Racing heads" .What are these & how do they differ from the std. twin port head. As far as I have been lead to believe, VW in Germany had little or no interest in 'go faster' bits for the T1, T2 & T3 motors & these were generally made in the aftermarket.
