Phil wrote, Well, I pulled the injectors, but instead of a fine apray I found more of an squirt...kind of like our of a squirt gun.....I was wondering if that was normal? No, that is not normal , this can cause many many problems, including major damage to heads. The spary should be a conical shape mist . When the injectors pee like this , the engine can overheat, run too lean, miss erradically , have low power , low top speed etc.. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------ I had this problem melted and cracked heads was the reward for driving with this. I tried every adjustment and "fix" before trying the injectors, I even rewired my efi system to be sure, since there were a great deal of worn unreliable connections . All my major problems went away when I replaced my injectors. I corrected all of my erratic missing problems and overheating after correcting other problems caused by my messed up wiring. If you think you injectors are salvageable , take them to an injector shop in your area or send it to a place that advertizes this on the internet. I forgot the name but some listees may know, I can look it up if you want. Try to clean them up yourself by dipping the injector tips in carburator cleaner for a couple of hours and see if they still pee bad. Some injectors may be cleaned up and still have a cutoff problem at higher on and off speeds, so when a injector shop says they cannot fix a bad one , that is what happens. If you have the money buy new Bosch injectors or good rebuilt ones from a reputable place (Not Python). What does your car do? LEON MARTINEZ 1969 SQUAREBACK EFI/AUTO SAN DIEGO AND TIJUANA.
