>Can you guys give me an opinion on something? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=592376920 Is this honestly what a person should expect to pay for a set of bumpers like this??? I would love to have them, but DAMN. > Nah, I keep bidding $100 on them. Of course, I never win so hmmm, maybe they ARE worth $510 (bid price as of this email, subject to change like winds in a twister) Let's see, when Flat 4 was selling these overriders in the USA, they were $150 front, $150 rear, that's $300. Let's assume the bumpers are mint, triple-plated rechomed originals, that's $100 each for mint bumpers, that's probably less than the rechroming cost. So yes, $500 is reasonable. Now when they go to over $1000, that's dumb, for repros. Originals, ok. I once almost bought a '65 Notchback just to get a set of original overrider bumpers, market value on those is around $2000. But you could buy another Type 3 for $2000... Everett http://thesamba.com ------------------------------------------------------------------- Search old messages on the Web!
