I asked a native German woman that I work with about this word. She said the word should be Abgrenzung and that it meant something like limit, border, or boundary, but that it wouldn't be used in this kind of context. She also pointed out that while the German use the words Volt and Ampere for the units of measure for these quantities, their word for voltage is Spannung. She thus felt it unlikely that we were on the right track for the meaning of VA. She has a technical background, but little interest in cars; she thought that the most likely meaning for VA would be Volt-Ampere in spite of its redundancy here. I guess this brings us back to square one. Per, did you have a particular reason for suggesting this word, or was it just a guess? - Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ------------------------------------------------------------------- Search old messages on the Web!
