The Bowden tube has a long tubular snout on the transmission
end. This snout should push all the way thru the hole in the support
and come out the other side. Once you get it installed correctly,
there's no chance that it will come out again, no matter how rough
the roads are. You WILL have to readjust the clutch cable, though;
it will have to be tightened up.

I had a car where the front of the Bowden tube had not been
properly slipped over the tube coming out of the pan. This had
sawed a slot in the side of the cable guide tube. Same kind of
problem; similar solution.
