Im back!... the road is paved, but rough in spots. Its really interesting... youd think with all the half-million dollar or more vintage race cars there, or the 1 of 3 1911 EMF racers that showed up that no one would notice the lowly VW Squareback parked with them all... BUT I think more people checked out my car than any of the others!! I think the difference is that with the Squareback you attract the crowd that can say "I (or someone else) used to have one of these!!"... you wont find many people who will relate stories on how that Bugatti got them home in the snowstorm when no other would...! Anywho... the car ran like a Top... made excellent time to the top... the Kelley tires are gripping better than any of the others that Ive had... so the motor is still strong but the Tranny syncro's are really getting tired now... I need to concentrate on doing the job myself. And anyone who is thinking of upgrading your stock brakes to 4 wheel disc is just wasting thier money... those stock brakes are more than the car will ever need...
