My books say compressed air. On a caliper that has sat unused for years it can be impossible off the car. You can always get them apart if you put them on a working brake system and use brake fluid to pump them out, but this makes a mess and you can only do one piston at a time. Keep in mind that brake fluid is poisonous and dogs like it! If they have been in use recently, I can probably get them apart and rebuild them. I charge $45 per side for this, and frankly it's a bargain. - ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ------------------------------------------------------------------- List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list or mailto:help@vwtype3.org
