If there is a ridge there, where the metal in the center of the saddle has NOT been pressed back in the ring where there is a groove in the back of the bearing, then you need to align bore. If this ridge is large enough to feel with your fingernail then it needs to be alignbored. The CW crank is a great thing. It is likely that you could reuse this old case, even with the crack, but you should probably get it align bored again. I recommend RIMCO for this work. I have some good used cases, too.
