Re: [T3] Wiring question

Hi,

I have decided to wire mine up according to the "12V non-USA" Haynes
diagram.

There are several reasons for this.

1) My car is late - a '69 T34 - and so it is more or less the right one
anyway. There is a specific T34 diagram but for several reason (which
probably are off-topic here) I gave up on it at an early stage.

2) The terminal "pin-outs" on the components correspond to those on the
components that I have. Some of the components shown in the Haynes diagram
may actually be a year or two later than my car. These slightly later
components - e.g. relays - are mostly still available brand new.

3) You have to standardise on something and it might as well be this one. No
two wiring diagrams that i have downloaded from various places are the same,
even apparently for the same car of the same year.

Anyway, my ignition switch has 6 terminals. This appears to correspond with
Haynes, although it's hard to tell. They are the four which appeared on
earlier ones - 50, 15, 30 and X - and also S and P. I'm not sure what the
latter two are for, and hence my previous question. Haynes shows two S
terminals on the steering column, one connecting to the horn, and the other
to the high beam relay.

If anyone has a problem with my resoning I would really appreciate their
advice.

Best regrds,

Daniel
