Hello,
does anyone happen to have a spare engine backing plate? i dont have
one, and i would imagine that a lot of cooling air (if not all of it) would
exit through this giant hole. also, is there anywhere i could get a whole
thermostat and cooling air flap assembly? or do you think my best bet would
be to try and find one at the junkyard? do i really, REALLY need the flaps?
or can i go without them for now?
Thanks,
*Jerrod*

If you are looking for engine tin, you can buy that at RMMW (1-800-258-1006).
I'm not sure about type 3 engines, but you can get it for most other VW
engines at reasonable prices.
