Anyway, just a reminder that > I do clocks and if any of you have a question about them, please feel free to > ask away. I am always here, just don't say much anymore. > Hi Pat, I was wondering what had happened to you....! I have a clock in my '70 Notch which appears to be u/s. I have tried removing the two small nuts on the back to remove the plastic cover, but it appears to be held by the grey/white round thingy (to use the technical term!). This means I haven't been able to check the infamous fusible link. The car only has 20,000 miles on it, but has stood for some 16 yrs, so I wonder if the clock has died from lack of use. I can't ask you or Jim to look at it, as I'm the wrong side of the pond. I don't suppose you know anyone over here (UK) who's a whiz with clocks? Speedograph Richfield can look at it, but they want about Ł60 ($90), and they specialise in Brit stuff, not VW / VDO. Any suggestions? ------------------------------------------------------------------- List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list or mailto:help@vwtype3.org
