With Brian taking point we cruised up to the BurgerMaster joint on Friday for the evening cruise-in. We got lost thanks to bad directions but, on the positive side, we were able to call Tom to get our bearings and it turned out we were less than a mile from his place! Talk about fortuituous!! Brian and I got to see his Notch up close, along with the T4 engine, and it's all beautiful. We even helped place the engine in the engine bay and my chest met a couple of Tom's tools the hard way ;) Tom gave us directions to the cruise-in and we finally met up with our stay-over host, Bugly (Gary), and his sub-15 second, DAILY DRIVER Bus! Talked with some fellows from Canada and introduced a couple volks to the list. Saturday was spent at the Vintage meet, checking out some nice old dubs and meeting more T3 volks. Met Eric (Thorkhild) finally and he got a couple rides in my (loud) baby. That evening was a pleasant BBQ at "Too Quicks" spread (very nice place...can't remember his name for the life o' me :( ). Sunday was SIR (Seattle International Raceway) where I met some more T3'ers and saw some good racing (though SIR needs to pull it's head outta butt!). I got to be right at the launch area to take pictures of Bugly's Bus. Every time he was up there he got the most crowd response -- people just dig a Bus that can haul gluteous maximus! That evening Brian had his Fasty raised by Gary a notch then it was back to Oregon. Good time overall. Seattle traffic SUCKS! It'll be a cold day in Hades before I'll move up there. It's fun driving with another flame-shooting T3 (Eric and I thought Brian's Fasty was shooting at us :) and my baffle-less stinger needs a baffle. Damn, she's loud!!
