At 52 hp DIN, it is only 2 hp DIN down on the high compression engine power. The 1500N gives a max of 45 hp DIN, so it's more like a 1500S, made for countries that couldn't supply the high octane fuel, than a 1500N. However, in the production tables, it isn't specifically labelled as the 1500S engine, whereas the other is. Dave (practised at sitting on the fence!).
