I have to wonder the same things Jim. I bought a type 3 air intake bellow from ISP and it was said to be NOS but when i got it i compared it to the original one on my car and found the quality, as well as the fit not even close to the original. The vw part number was on the bellow as well as the vw logo but the part number was not a clean mold. It seemed as though this bellow was made from a mold of the original. I don't know for sure but when i see NOS i expect the quality to be the same as the original hence the whole NOS thing. But that's just my two cents on the subject. I also bought the after market seat guide rails and they are not as good as the originals but they do seem as Jim stated to be of good enough quality to be worth purchasing. So with that said i have a question for ya'll. I have just a little bit of rust showing at the rear of the front wheel well under where the chrome molding starts. I think that water may be getting in between the fender panel and the body from the spray of the wheel. My question is how do i remove the molding? I think if i remove the molding i can see into the clip hole and get a better assessment of the situation and then take a course of action to prevent any further rust . Any help out there? i can email a picture if you want to see what i am talking about. And finally is anyone planning on going to the t3 swarm that lives in southern pennsylvania or northern maryland? I want to make the trip but i would feel more confident with a fellow t3 person driving along with my wife and i. I plan on trying to meet up with the whole crew leaving from Russ's house to make the rest of the trip. I anyone is interested please email me directly. (BTW, this fellow told me that there are 2 kinds of reproductions out there: the ones he has made which are obviously different from the OE and some others which have been made to copy the originals all the way down to the VW trademark and part #. I don't know this for a fact, but I can't help wondering if this is what ISP is selling.) ------------------------------------------------------------------- Search old messages on the Web!
