Hi again, About this time last week I posted an introduction to the list and that I was going to be looking at a 69 Squareback in Madison. Well, the car seemed okay so I picked it up. And lucky for me, Jim Adney (Thank you Jim) was able to look at the car with us and he pointed out problems and areas that needed work. I now have a laundry list of repairs starting with some leaky fuel line and the front brakes. I bought some 5/16" fuel line for the repair but the OD seems a bit larger than the cloth covered hose currently in the engine compartment. Since the fuel line seems to wrap all over the place, will this larger OD fit throughout the engine compartment? I'm assuming Yes, but I don't want to pull out the existing line only to find out I'm wrong. Also, the knobs for the popout windows are loose and I cannot get them tight enough for the windows to stay open while driving OR completely closed while the car is parked. Any tips for making those tighter? Or making them stay tight? And my glove box is a wreck, but I'm guessing those are hard to come by. The car made the drive from Madison to Chicago (about 130 miles) without a problem so once I get some things fixed mechanically I'll start working on the little rust on the car and maybe even a radio. I'm sure you'll be hearing from me in the weeks to come. Thanks for reading, jim ===== "i've got it and it's not worth having..." http://www.machobeagle.com __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
