Even if one side was not working right wouldn't it still pull in the same amount of air per stroke? This is the part that puzzles me, it seems that this observation, along with the okay compression are contradictory. I just stopped by and talked to a friend who is an automotive machinist and he thought that the only things that could give poor suction thru 1 carb would be some problem in the engine, like a valve not opening, or a vacuum leak. I tend to agree, but I'll entertain other arguments. Right now I'm thinking that he just had a valve adjuster come loose and 1 or 2 cylinders are not breathing well. I haven't heard from Mike since last night. I assume that he is has found a shop of some kind there and I hope to hear that he's back on his way again soon. I'll keep everyone posted. - ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ------------------------------------------------------------------- Too much?
