We have a very similar law here in Israel: All cars above 30 years old are
"collector's cars". You get vastly reduced road tax (but not free) and
compulsory insurance, and all kinds of other rules are relaxed. However, you
have to have the car inpected _twice_ a year. I suppose this makes sense as
a 30-40 year old car is more likely to be falling to bits than a new one.

I think there's also a limit on the number of kilometers you are allowed to
drive per year, and also on the times of day you are allowed to drive it.
They don't want some 50 year old crate doing 50KPH to block the rush-hour
motorways I suppose.

As my car is not yet in drivable condition, all this is still theoretical
for me.
