Hey Everyone, I had reason to test my FI fuel pump the other day and discovered that a 9v smoke alarm battery provided plenty juice to power the pump and pump fuel. Hopefully this will be of use to those without garages to test their pumps and for taking to the junkyard to test pumps before buying. I just use a pair of (Radio Shack) alligator clip wires to clip to the battery and to the terminals on the fuel pump. Incidentally, I've been using these 9v batteries to test car radios (6v and 12v) for years and it's been fine.
