Hi..... I am new to this list, I have only been observing until now. Well I need some help.... recently dual ICT Webbers were put on and I really want to see how people have set up their engines when converting from FI. For example, I keep getting vapor lock (?) which I think is being caused from where the fuel line is routed, when I open the engine lid the gas in the fuel filters is...um...boiling. I have the coil mounted a little funny and would love to see where others have placed theirs...etcetera. Now for the specs...I have a 1968 Fastback which for the most part is very original (minus the FI and paint), she has had some evil hands on her though. Somebody thought it was a good idea to cut into the engine bay to accomodate the air filters on the Dellortos it came with, for instance. That and a very bad bright yellow paint job over the original Savanah Biege : ( fortunately there is not too much over spray. Slowly but surely I would like to restore her to original. This is my 1st VW and I am in love. People are nicer to you when they see you driving an old VW, minus the idiots in their Dodge Cummins riding my rear and honking because I am trying to get up a steep hill as fast as I can and they need to hurry up and get to the stoplight. So if any one has good pictures of your carburated engine preferably a '68 but not necessary...I would be very happy. I really enjoy this list and have learned which is a good thing!
