In general, the value is much higher if it is in beautiful original condition. The problem is that once you start to customize, then individual tastes intrude and you'll find that as much as you like what you've done, others will have different tastes. This strongly narrows the range of interested buyers and reduces demand. If the car is already trashed then customizing is fine, because you are rescuing a "lost" car. But if the car is close to original condition, it would be a shame and a waste to irreversibly customize it, because you would be destroying a very rare, and already beautiful, commodity. - Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ------------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe? mailto:type3-request@vwtype3.org, Subject: unsubscribe
