Being a Portland resident, I can say from experience that owning a car in a rainy town can suck. First, without a garage your 100% at the mercy of the elements. Second, if there is any type of water leak, life is hell. The steamed windows and/or frost on the inside are worst getting started in the morning. I had an '84 GTI that collected over an inch of water on the floor, and then froze solid! Once I replaced the windshield seal on Phillip, my leaks stopped, and life was good. However, my 3 year ex-California car had already started rusting the floors down to it's first pin holes.
