[T3] Used Books & Exhaust

Does anyone out there have or know any good sources for a used Bentley
manual or other highly suggested manuals a type3 owner shouldn't be without?
I've got a lot of learning to do.
Now that the midwest has finally unfroze, I need to replace my muffler so I
can drive my baby. Please go easy on me cause I'm a real bad at all the
technical terms (and I'm female so mechanics just aren't in my blood - but I
can learn anything and I'm also blond - but that doesn't make any difference
at all despite what many think :p ). I'd like to do the muffler myself -
I've done all BASIC mechanic work on my old b*gs, even did a little exhaust
work on one of them, but was reading the idiot book the whole time, so don't
remember much - it was 10+ years ago. I know I can do it with y'alls help!
First of all what are my options - I would like to begin converting back to
stock as I go - there are quite a bit of non stock mods made on my '66
square. I've got dual weber carbs and right now there is a dual thunderbird
exhaust system on there. One of the oval boxes (what's the right term) fell
off at the little curve pipe that's located right after the bolted
connection to the other pipe system that goes into the engine. One person
suggested a quite pak muffler $35, as it is much cheaper than stock mufflers
that run around $175. What do y'all think?

Help and thanks! : )
