Any chance of the production plate figures so I can work out the date of
manufacture, Dave?  It's a 12-3-4567 sort of code.  Could be interesting.
The reg. date isn't very relevant; my Marina blue Square was a day older
than my present one (manufactured 5th May 71, reg. 27 July!), and like yours
was a Sept '71 reg ('K' plate).

Prod plate data is 26-3-3636, which I reckon makes it Wed 30 June 1971, so
I'm right between your two.
