Glad to hear you found the problem. I kept copies of most of the e-mail correspondence relating to the whole ordeal, dating to early December. I might condense everything into some kind of boring FAQ-type narrative, with details of everything I did. I looked at almost everything that could affect the operation of the FI in a real-life old car that has actually changed hands a few times and has been monkeyed with by shade tree mechanics that preceded me. This kind of car can harbor problems that would not be addressed in a manual. Things like bad wiring, things plugged into the wrong terminals, bad spares, etc. Since my car is a daily driver, I suppose I'll know soon if I still have an intermittent problem, but so far things are looking good. -Mark Fuhriman ------------------------------------------------------------------- List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list or mailto:help@vwtype3.org
