+AD4- It seems logical this symptom points to the trigger points. I have found in my 72 SB that the trigger points where the cause of a no start situation. I found that the rivets that hold the springs, contacts and bracketry together had galvanically corroded. After removing the trigger points and carefully cleaning, scarping and peening the rivets, while bench checking the contacts with an ohm meter, that my trigger points where renewed and wha-la my square fired right up. Of course I went through all the suggested list of troubleshooting as you have received from the list, which will pretty much guarantee that your car is in great shape for, hopefully, trouble free running for some time.
