The chances of a control unit falure are exceedingly slim, the only ones I've heard about have been because of physical damage, like drilling a hole in it to mount an antenna. That said, I've got a spare for a swap, just in case. It never has been the problem. They either work or are dead. Keep looking for that busted wire, you'll find it. Chances are, the folks that a control unit swap fixed have also had an intermittent, flexing the wire bundle just caused it to make up or the contacts on the control unit plug needed some attention. My '69 should have the "B" brain, right? (I havent opened it up yet to verify). Now, I have a spare "B" brain and a spare "C" brain. I don't know if either of these units is good. I'll try the spare "B" brain first, but could my spare "C" brain work if the spare "B" turns out bad? Something tells me I would need a different pressure sensor, but i'm not sure... > >-Mark Fuhriman > '69 FI Fastback > > >------------------------------------------------------------------- >Pitch in!
