I guess I am lucky, I get to see my daughter at least once a week. And we get her 3 kids 1 weekend a month when her husband has National Guard meeting. (She works weekends). Not so lucky, my son is in the Navy, and stationed in San Diego, CA with his 3 kids. My kids went to the delivery room in VW's, grew up with VW's, learned to drive in VW's, and drove them until they got out of high school. After they graduated, my son went to muscle cars, and my daughter bought her first car on her own. She stayed in the VW family. Her first car she bought after school was an '82 Audi 4000 5+5. For those who are not aware of that model, it was a limited edition that Audi produced. It was the Audi Fox/VW Dasher/Jetta body with the Audi 5000 drive train. The kinda car that Toby would appreciate. :=} She blew the doors off of a lot of Camaro's, and Mustangs with that car. I kind of wish I had it now, but it got wrecked while she and her husband lived in Colorado. And yes, Micah, I will give my daughter and my son a hug the next time I see them. BTW, my 8 year old grandson was my inspiration to get back into VW's after over 15 years. When he saw my sister's old '71 T-3 sitting in her back yard, he said, "Grandpa could get that running again".
