My 1980 Volvo 240 DL now has 370,000+ miles on it. Original drive train that has never been rebuilt or opened up. I did a compression check last summer and all 4 cylinders were between 148 and 155 lbs. Best built car I've ever had. > > > Question: > I'm almost ready to remove the shell from the pan. Well, time for me to go to work. The way I've seen it done before that seem best was to support it on saw horses. You can either buy some a your local hardware store, or buy the kit and make them yourself. Just make sure you have them on a level surface.
