Everyone -- Since I am doing my 2.3L, I don't think I will need my '71 FI stock engine with 50k miles any more. Here's what I know: -leaks a drip or two a day (normal for VWs, eh?) -regular valve adjustments/maintenance -Bosch rebuilt generator -nothing out of the ordinary (drove it all over the place) -It's got the rear hanger for early body types (thus it will fit any T3) -never left me stranded (except when the generator finally kicked it) I am willing to ship the whole engine nationwide by AIR for $100 to $150 (ground will cost you $750). You will have to pick it up from a major airport serviced by www.forwardair.com <http://www.forwardair.com> -- call them, it's easier if you want a more accurate estimate. That is the shipping company I will use. I'm asking $400/obo + shipping with cooling tin, stock muffler (a little old), solid top/bottom heater boxes, clutch, 12v flywheel. This is from a "rust free" California car. If you are a student, then the engine will be considerably cheaper -- tell me what year you are in school and all that jazz. ---------------------------------------- The FI components are separate since most people don't have the same year and it's easier to use your own stuff, so they are for sale as well (pump, brain, harness, etc.--everything). The PS is on the fritz, though. I don't really want to ship this since there are so many little parts, thus many runs to the post office.
