A couple of days ago I had a recurrence of my old no-start/missing episodes. Seems to have come up every 100-200 miles or so. I had inspected in detail and changed out just about every FI component except my pressure sensor. See, the coil windings had tested at the right resistances and the diaphragm held vacuum, so I figured it was OK. Yesterday I finally had an opportunity to swap the pressure sensor out with another. I'm back to smooth running now. I took my old PS apart and found it to be full of oil. My air cleaner has never been overfilled since I've owned the car (9 months), but maybe in an earlier phase of the car's life... Has anybody had experience with intermittent missing and intermittent no-start trouble and traced it to an oil-filled pressure sensor? Will oil in the windings cause it to send intermittent screwey signals to the ECU? Just wondering if that could have been the source of my problems. Any input is appreciated! -Mark Fuhriman '69 Fastback ------------------------------------------------------------------- Too much? Digest! mailto:type3-d-request@vwtype3.org Subj=subscribe
