i noticed that when they went to 90.5 mm bore the powerband changed drasticly. they gained a bunch of tourque. the W110 on the 1600 bumped the powerband to the 5k neighborhood. where on the 1776 it was pretty close to the stock powerband just more power. it seemed all the dellortos did was give a little boost at high RPM. ive herd the kadrons are good on the smaller displacement engines since they produce good tourque. kinda makes me wish they made a kadron kit for the T3. actually in this months issue of Hot VWs i saw a pretty good idea for an engine that would work well in a T3. it is a 1955cc but uses the 90.5mm bore(stroker of course). this one was in a thing and had dual kardrons --- Greg Merritt <gregm@vwtype3.org> wrote: > > One of the magazines did a series of dyno tests on > 16 modified > engines a few years back.
