Wilson-unless you're familiar with extensive body repair I wouldn't attempt a 
sunroof installation. A  factory 'roof is difficult to remove intact-much 
less install again.Aftermarket is really the only way to go.Most do not 
require any welding.They fit into the cutout from above,and are held in by a 
supporting U-channel underneath.(sheet metal screws into the frame assembly) 
Many generic 'roofs are available,but the better ones are expensive.Look 
carefully at the mounting arrangement.(should be as above)Your headliner 
should be taken back to beyond the door sills,as there is a crossmember 
supporting the roof approx.28" back from the windshield(at least in the 
"66).As one listee said already-MEASURE CAREFULLY!-you don't want to cut into 
this support.Also there is a slight curvature in the roof(both laterally & 
horizontally)make sure this is taken into consideration when selecting.I 
managed to find a nice 'roof from a company called California Sunroofs about 
16 years ago(don't know if they are still around)Good Luck!
