Ginger talked some sense into me before I went to look at this car
tonight. With another baby due this summer, it's crazy to start
another project (do I sound convinced?). Martin has it listed in the
vwtype3.org classifieds for $600 w/o motor. It's original dark blue
paint, no accident darn straight, and "all there". Parked for 8 years
partially garaged, still has black Cali plates (i.e. little rust).
The windshield has been leaking, so floor pans are wet and rusty, but
I doubt it's even got pinholes yet. The usual torn upholstery inside
(white), but the headliner is nice. Rubber and seals seem pretty good
too. Anyway, a very sound starting point for a project car. I agree
with him it's too nice to part out, which is what will happen if no
one goes for it in one piece.
Oh, I also got to check out Martin's 2.0 litre, ragtop '6? fasty.
Toby this car would give you a run for the money...
