Dave, I talked to my brother about this today, but he couldn't remember much seeing that it is almost 9 years since he did this to his 71 bug. What I know is that the 72 and 73 switches are a bit different in the wiring, the 73-up VWs has plugs while the 72 and older had single wire connectors. But if you use the complete wiper and turnsignal stalk assembly and covers, it should be no problem. The hose for the washer should be easy to re-route. You will of course have one empty hole in the dash, but there are plugs to put in there too if you don't want an "empty" switch to just sit there. Tip: get connectors from another VW in the junkyard if you don't want to snip of the wires on the 73 switch. I noticed that a 82 Golf still had the same connectors, I guess one could use the switches from that one too, if one fancy the thicker plastic style switches. An electric washer pump could be utilized too! PerL 73 Variant L ------------------------------------------------------------------- Too much? Digest! mailto:type3-d-request@vwtype3.org Subj=subscribe
