My bugpack one came with a tab on the muffler. A bracket is provided to secure this tab to one of the exhaust primaries. Overall quality is pretty poor. Muffler has no clearance to rear valance. Re: all these cracking mufflers. Do these have additional support in the middle or outer end of the muffler, or are they only supported by the pipe at their inlet end? I used quiet power mufflers for years with no problems, but at that time everyone admitted that you HAD to have additional support for the muffler. The good systems came with a tab welded half way out on the muffler body itself. If you try to support the whole weight of the muffler cantilevered out from the inlet end I think it will always eventually break off. Driving on rough roads will just make this happen faster. - Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ------------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe? mailto:type3-request@vwtype3.org, Subject: unsubscribe
