I will stand corrected! I have the same badge and it is indeed the VIN tag. I guess the heater mentioned must be the version of heaterboxes or something installed in the car? My memory was failing a bit in the middle of the night, but anyways I popped outside and took a few shots of the badge and teh EberspŠcher on my car, for you viewing pleasure :-) They are a bit unsharp, and the sunlight made the colors a bit strange... But you get the general idea, I hope. http://perlindgren.tripod.com/dcp_0001.jpg VIN tag http://perlindgren.tripod.com/dcp_0002.jpg VIN tag: a bit different angle http://perlindgren.tripod.com/dcp_0003.jpg Luggage compartment http://perlindgren.tripod.com/dcp_0004.jpg Spec tag on heater http://perlindgren.tripod.com/dcp_0005.jpg EberspŠcher BN2 http://perlindgren.tripod.com/dcp_0006.jpg VIN tag from my '68 1300 Beetle PerL 73 Variant L BOB2TYPE3S@aol.com wrote: > Thanks for the quick reply Per! > The tag I was reading all these numbers off of was my VIN tag.
