The rust you need to really worry about is in places that are much harder to see. Look for rust thru inside the fenders to the interior of the car, this happens at the rear of the front wheelwells and the front of the rear wheelwells. Pull up the carpet and the back seat. Rust and dirt there is a sign that water has been regularly getting in the car by some avenue. Most owners don't have any idea of the extent of the damage that has already happened, so this guy may be able to tell you quite honestly that the car is in great shape when it really isn't. - ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ------------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe? mailto:type3-request@vwtype3.org, Subject: unsubscribe
